Why Should I Do A Juice Cleanse?
Let’s get real. We live in a dirty world. From the pollutants in the air we breathe to the chemicals in the food and water we consume, our bodies are full of toxins. This buildup of toxins is what causes many of us to feel exhausted and depleted. We need coffee just to get us through the day. Many people consume a diet high in processed foods, along with tea, coffee and alcohol. This causes a buildup of acids and metabolic waste products in the body, which can result in inflammation. This acidic state of the body can be neutralized by drinking raw juices. It truly is our birthright to feel amazing and juicing is a key component.
Just like our cars need oil changes, our bodies need a break to rid itself of toxins to help it run more efficiently. This is not a juice fast. It’s a nutritional cleanse. The purpose is to nourish your body, not deprive you. On this cleanse, you’ll be saturating your body will all the vitamins, minerals and enzymes your body is craving. Cleanses are great ways to alkalize the body and are super effective in helping the body detoxify itself. Cleansing is recommended for many common illnesses and ailments as it gives the body the rest it needs to recover.
What Can I Expect?
Depending on the length of the cleanse and the state of your body, you will experience different results. A three-day Cleanse helps the body rid itself of old built up matter and cleanses the blood. A five-day Cleanse starts the process of rebuilding and healing the immune system. A ten-day Cleanse will take care of problems before they arise and fight off degenerative diseases. Amazing huh? I dare you to find a pill that can do that.
Keep in mind, depending on your toxicity, you will most likely experience detox symptoms. This is actually a good sign.
You will get 5 raw juices and one raw almond milk per day. Two of them will be green juices. Each one will be labeled with numbers 1-6. This will indicate the order you drink them in.

Can’t I Just Go Buy Juice From The Grocery Store?
Sure, but they won’t have nearly the same affect. All juices in the store are heated and pasteurized, thus killing off any enzymes and nutrients. Remember how important raw foods are? Because they are all reconstituted, they also contain much more sugar.
All my juices are made using a $2500 hydraulic press. Yes, it makes a huge difference. By using the hydraulic press, five times the nutrients are extracted. These raw juiced fruits and vegetables are loaded with easy-to-absorb vitamins, minerals and plant enzymes. Plus, unlike commercial juicers (which slightly heat the juice) the juices maintain these vitamins and nutrients for several days! Happy Dance!!

Is It Organic?
I use 100% natural, whole, unprocessed, and locally sourced (when possible) organic ingredients from farms that practice sustainable agriculture. This is extremely important to me. I am committed to using the freshest produce and we strive to use only organic produce whenever possible. I’m in touch with several local produce stands that are in direct contact with the farmers.
Can I do this if I’m breastfeeding or pregnant?
As a supplement to your current diet, yes. Alone? No. You actually need to add a LOT more calories and protein than you normally consume while breastfeeding. The body is looking for all the calories it can find so your child can grow! The problem with any type of Cleanse while pregnant or breastfeeding is that you release a substantial amount of toxins back into your system, which is what your baby relies on for nourishment. That said, adding the juices to your regular diet while breastfeeding and/or pregnant will give you the added nourishment your body so desperately needs during that time.
Can I cleanse while taking antibiotics?
A cleanse is actually the perfect partner for your antibiotics. While antibiotics fight off harmful bacteria they also deplete the body’s supply of healthy bacteria. This cleanse is packed with nutrients that will help your body fight off the bad and replenish the good bacteria. An extended cleanse will even help strengthen your immune system to prevent illness in the future.
Won’t this slow my metabolism?
That depends. If your metabolism is fast right now, chances are it will slow a little, as you are not taking in as much energy. It will bounce right back though. This also depends on your body - everyone is different. On the other hand, if you have a slow metabolism, clearing out toxins opens up channels so your body functions more efficiently!
How many calories in each level?
Ugh, I hate talking calories, because they are all so different, but here ya go :) There are roughly 1100 calories in the cleanse. Keep in mind that counting calories with raw foods and juice is not equivalent to the calories you count on a traditional diet of cooked and/or processed foods. Nothing is wasted here, as the body knows how to assimilate all the calories in raw live foods, whereas a regular diet of 2,000 calories for example, might only have about 1200 useable calories and the rest is “wasted” or stored as fat. Please try to move away from calorie-oriented thinking. Pretty please?
Where do I get my protein?
There are MANY sources of protein other than that which comes from animals. Our society is so focused on protein. Did you know we really only need about 25-35 grams of protein a day? What you may not realize is that your body needs much less protein that you may think. You’ll receive protein from the green juice and the almond milk. While the almond milk is a more obvious source of protein, don't forget the protein content in living plant foods. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and amino acids are in everything.
Should I continue to take my medications? My Vitamins? B-12?
I’m not a doctor so I’m going to recommend talking with your doctor before starting a cleanse. If you are questioning it at all, you should stay on your medications. As far as vitamins, that’s your call. You are consuming about 20 lbs. of freshly pressed fruits and vegetables every day, which means that this is now essentially your “multi-vitamin.” The only vitamin that you might want to add is B-12. (A nutrient found mainly in animal protein)
How much weight will I lose? Will I gain it back?
First calories and now weight? You’re killing me Smalls! Remember, this is a nutritional cleanse designed to give your digestive system a rest and therefore allow your body to eliminate toxins. If you do lose weight, and that was something you were looking for while cleansing, then that’s just a happy side effect. I truly encourage you to focus on how you want your body to feel and not how you want your body to look. Basically, if you have weight to lose, you will lose it. If you don’t, you won’t. Enough said. Hopefully, if weight control is your goal, this cleanse will put you on a path towards healthier habits. I know I am always more mindful of what I put in my body after a good nourishing cleanse. If weight loss is your goal, I recommend doing a cleanse breaking session with me to get your goals and priorities in order.
How often should I cleanse?
This is up to you. I recommend 4-5 times a year with the change of seasons and after the holidays!
Is there anyone who shouldn’t cleanse?
If you’re diabetic or on blood thinners you probably shouldn’t do a cleanse.
